2FA QR Code Presenter for Google Authenticator Database

So you just did a system wipe on your Android device, re-installed Google Authenticator only to find it empty.

Luckily you did a backup using your recovery software (e.g. TWRP).

  1. Extract the /data partition of your backup via your computers' archive software.
  2. Use this gist, to get your gauth details into a plain text file google_authenticator_backup.txt
  3. Use the below file input field to generate all the QR codes you need for your clean device.

Please note that advanced settings are not supported by the Google Authenticator app yet: all advanced settings are ignored, and default values are used. Yubico Authenticator support these advanced settings.
